Nani and Lola

What an exciting, beautiful autumn weekend. Nani came to visit Stewart and she brought our new dog with her! Thanks Nani. We have named her Lola (a friend of a friend named their daughter this, and I loved it... hopefully they will be honored and not offended ;) . She was raised to be a seeing-eye-dog, but she barked at strangers and didn't make the final cut. She is a two year old black lab. She is very well behaved, very sweet, trained, and housebroken! She reminds us a lot of Gus, which while it may bring a tear to the eye, makes us happy. She is, for those of you who met Gus, about 40 pounds smaller than he was. I don't think we could've gotten a better set up. A big thanks to my sister-in-law for hooking this situation up! In other news, Stewie is getting two more top front teeth, and fortunately they aren't bothering him much. He has been busy doing "core strengthening" with his father... if he doesn't leave home to join Cirque Du Soleil by the time he's six, he'll surely being doing McTwists at the mountain. Yes ladies and gentlemen, my son is indeed holding himself in the air, defying gravity with his tougher-than-nails core muscles, in the picture above.
