Besides taking his first steps yesterday, Stewie had lots of firsts today. He took his first subway ride, which he thought was pretty cool, he went to his first museums, and he went to his first hockey game. He loved the colors at the Lino Tagliapietra glass exhibit at the Renwick Gallery and really wanted to touch everything. Good thing everything was in plexiglass boxes. He also got a kick out of the Richard Avedon "Portraits of Power" exhibit at the Corcoran; he's really starting to love looking at pictures, and not just of babies. Of course we had to stop by the White House and give George a joyful goodbye. They're already building the staging for Obama's inauguration. Stewie was a hoot at the hockey game. The Capitals were playing the Montreal Canadians, who lost. Stewie was amazed by all of the people, and clapped along with everyone cheering. He was tired by the third quarter, but wouldn't close his eyes. So he curled up with Grandma and his blankie and kept watching everything. Thanks Uncle Tim!
