Summertime!

So a long overdue update... where to begin? June was busy. Wedding. Grandma and Aunt Eunice came to visit... we went to the Granby Zoo. What a blast! Stewart was in awe. Can't wait to do it again... and an aquarium? Hopefully in Chicago. Father's day was fun too. Dad friends went golfing, kid friends hung out, and then we all had a fabulous dinner. We had a great time at Pratt camp... Stewart bonded with his cousins, and was eager to keep up and share. He has gained so many new skills. He openly shares. He has so many words! They're more audible to Michael and myself than the rest of the world, but, he has them... "ice, more, car, boat, duck, cow." Me, being the pushy mom, am really waiting for "peas" (i.e. please!). He's swimming, running, throwing, far better than I ever would've imagined an 18 month old could (like a good 2 or 3 feet?). We've had a lot of rain though, and are getting really anxious for more nice days to go outside and play. Not that the rain has stopped us from that! In other news, Stewie had a near 103 degree fever the Friday before last. Teething. Canines. I didn't know for sure, because trying to stick your finger in to feel around is like... well... you might as well stick your hand down a crocodile's mouth. However; we had our 18 mos. doctor's appointment today, and she confirmed (with a tongue depressor) that yes indeed those upper canines have cut, and the bottom two are on their way. Stewie has also been having tons of fun with his friends. Besides Father's Day, he went to his first concert yesterday. He boogied down!!! Dan Zane. If you have kids and haven't heard of him, check him out. He does all the classics and his own stuff. I've never walked into a concert where everybody getting down was under three feet tall. Or that it smelled like sweaty diapers up front. What a blast. Here's his link http://www.danzanes.com/pages/news.php . Here's to the rest of July... another wedding, and hopefully a trip to Chicago... keep it in mind everyone?!
