Last Sunday we took Stewie to Kieran's birthday party at the Shelburne Museum's Annual Trick-or-Treat day. For those of you who have never been, the museum was the project of Elektra Havemeyer Webb. She was a rather interesting and electic individual, as was her collection. Her interest was in American Folk Art, and the museum houses all sorts of Americana art, from paintings to quilts to houses and barns and houses and the Ticonderoga Ferry (where they drop pumpkins from... unfortunately we missed that part) and the latest traveling show is on motorcycles. The kids really enjoyed just running around more than the trick-or-treating part. The houses were decked out, but that didn't really interest them either. I was more interested in the candy than Stewie was!
P.S. If you can't tell, Stewie is an elephant!
