We Believe!

The Fourth of July We Believe in Dinosaurs' debut was a huge hit! The weather was great (though a tad bit too hot), the company was wonderful, and the music was even better. Michael estimates 75 or so people made it through, probably at least 20 of those being kids. We also enjoyed the town parade and went for a big swimming adventure at a local waterfall. I'll be sure to post the next show date, and the CD opportunities. Here's their website: http://www.webelieveindinosaurs.com

Stewart loved the music; however, he was not happy that his dad was on stage and he couldn't be. By the second set Stewart was playing his mini guitar in front of the stage into the recording mics... singing into them, even though they were way too high for him to reach. Too cute for words! Unfortunately I can't post the video or pics of these moments, seeing as how Stewart was once again in the buff. He was actually given the award for being the most naked all weekend long. We just can't keep clothes on this kid! It's a great way to help potty train, but it sure makes it tough to take him anywhere, or take pictures of him.

Stewart had so much fun with his Nani, Aunt Katie & Uncle Pete and all of the kids. One of his favorite parts was probably camping in the tent with Nani. He was in between two pools of age groups: four to eight and 6 weeks to one. He's used to playing with the older kids, and particularly enjoys the girls. Mostly because they play well with him; I think its the nurturing nature of girls. Older boys seem to do an immediate skill test; when he doesn't compete, they ignore him. For the first time he played with a couple of boys younger than him. They had a great time romping around a tent and wrestling... but he was gentle. He gained some independence playing with all of these kids. Since the older ones are a little more responsible, we let them have free range of the yard and house, with various adult eyes at all times. This may prove problematic now that the weekend is over! Stew has also been asking all day "where frwends go?"

Eliza did very well being passed around. Everyone wanted to hang out with her, and I was happy to oblige. I was able to spend a little time with friends and the kids. Thanks family and friends!!! For the first time I lubed her up with plenty of sunblock so she could be out a bit in the sun, though most of the time we hung out on the porch.
